As our current community managers, ^MI (@mariaignatova) and ^KT (@kendallsf), are transitioning into new roles, our Community team had the opportunity to attract two new rockstars to the fold. Well as of August 1st, one of those spots got filled:)

Dear community, please meet Anna Eschenburg (@aeschenburg). She is an awesome addition to our team and here’s some info to help you get to know her:

  • Grew the social media presence for SocialChorus, an influencer marketing tech company
  • Graduate of Santa Clara University
  • A music and food junkie;  she attends concerts at least monthly and is determined to finally check off all 100 items on the 7x7 Big Eat SF.

I sat down with Anna on her first day and asked her to share a few thoughts about her new role:

What are you looking forward to in this new role?
Salesforce has such a vibrant and active community and I’m looking forward to diving in and getting to know everyone. I’ve only been here for a few days and I’ve already heard amazing stories of some members sharing an RV to Dreamforce and the helpful #askforce hashtag. So let’s make this even more social – feel free to ask me anything! I can’t wait to meet you all.

What are your goals?
I want to help the Salesforce community become even more vibrant and take social offline and live. Let’s organize city meetups, Twitter chats, and share even more live videos on Facebook!

Why social media?
Social media has completely changed the way I stay in touch and interact with my friends and family. Anyone that knows me will tell you I’m constantly on Twitter, checking in on Foursquare or sharing what I’m doing to Instagram. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I’ve contacted customer service over the phone…

I’m not the only one. The power of social media is that it really does allow you to connect quickly & easily with so many people around the world.

What crazy thing should our community know about you?
My first words were in German and I’m a first generation American. Feel free to shoot me tweets in German and I’ll do my best!

You'll be seeing and hearing a lot more from Anna in the weeks to come. Don't be shy and make sure you welcome her via Twitter (@aeschenburg). Have a great weekend!
