The July 2016 Release is Now Live in the Marketing Cloud! 

The wait is over--powerful Content Management and the all-new Content Editor are now live with this release. All new customers will be provisioned with these tools beginning July 18th, and existing customers will be provisioned on a rolling schedule starting at the beginning of August, continuing over the next few months. 

Also with this release, Advertising Studio is taking it to the next level by giving customers the ability to directly manage and optimize their advertising campaigns. MobileConnect customers now have more control over their SMS/MMS sending with the ability to cancel jobs from the UI. Customers can now approve and send emails on-the-go, directly from their smartphones. Finally, customers can better understand engagement with Predictive Scores.

Below are the highlights of this release:

1. Email Studio and Content Builder Generally Available: Marketing Cloud's Email Studio is now generally available to all customers (with a rolling launch). Email Studio includes an entirely new email creation and send flow, ensuring the accuracy of email content. Content Builder is our powerful content management tool which allows you to consolidate assets in a single location. Upload images and content, making them searchable and easy to tag. Use out-of-the-box templates to create emails with a drag-and-drop interface. Learn more!   


2. Approvals Service for Content Builder Emails: The Approvals service is now integrated with the new Email Creation Flow, enabling customers to submit emails to an approval process. It can be turned on for any account. If you are a legacy Approvals user for Email, the new Approvals service will automatically be enabled. Learn more!

3. Send Email from the Marketing Cloud Mobile App: Customers can now send email on the go! Marketing Cloud now offers a mobile-optimized send flow that enables customers to select an existing email, edit the parameters and send directly from their smartphone. The Marketing Cloud publishes a new version of the Mobile App approximately two weeks after each release, pending Apple review. Learn more!

4. Predictive Scores (Beta): Predictive Scores allows customers to understand THEIR customers’ likelihood to engage for an action in the next 10 days. Predictive Scores is currently in Beta. Customers can still enroll in the open Beta. Learn more!

5. Cancel In-Progress SMS/MMS Sends for MobileConnect: Customers can now control in-progress SMS/MMS programs with cancel capabilities directly within the UI. Customers can see real-time send status of in-progress jobs and cancel in-progress SMS/MMS jobs. Learn more!

6. Campaign Management in Advertising Studio: Advertising Studio customers can now connect their customer data to campaigns and manage advertising across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Mobile, all within Advertising Studio. Optimize campaigns with sophisticated targeting, multi-variate testing, bulk management, reporting, and data visualization to save time and money. Learn more!

7. Link Level Engagement Splits for Journey Builder: Customers now have the ability to create engagement splits in a Journey Builder interaction based on one or more specific links in an email. This means that Journey Builder can observe what links a customer clicks in an email and then route the customer down a different path in the journey based on how they are engaging with specific email content. Journey Builder has always responded to channel engagement, now it can respond to content engagement as well, resulting in even more personalized interactions. Learn more!

8. Salesforce Sends for Content Builder: Customers can now select and send Content Builder emails for Salesforce CRM audiences (only for accounts integrated with Sales Cloud). Learn more!
