Refresh is a new app offered through Salesforce's AppExchange. It allows relationship-driven business communication by improving users' experiences by granting sales teams to enable essential contact information for customers or prospects in your network.

The mobile app was launched last April and has been a ground breaking source for quick resources to facilitate internal or external meetings by making conversation smoother. Refresh gives you the ability to be up to speed with general information about the person you are meeting with. It can also help you know indirectly the client or the coworker you will be meeting with by giving you a more comfortable meet and greet methodology.

How does it work?

It is fairly simple. The app will be pulling data from social networks such as Twitter and LinkedIn in addition to your contact data to create a comprehensive profile about the future person you booked a meeting with in your calendar.

This will create better 1:1 interactions and help you quickly find more things in common. It could also help you have more conversational interactions with a client or coworker. Refresh will also pull old email interactions, previous meetings, common connections, or referrals to provide a history of your relationship.

The fact that Refresh is integrated in Salesforce will help sales reps especially increase productivity. It will also enable the information to be shared with their colleague for a future project or a business meeting within Chatter or via email. For now, a bio with Refresh information seems to be appearing as a widget on the Salesforce contact record. In the future, Refresh will enhance more records of previous emails and collect more data to make better customer experiences.

Refresh has a bright future in Salesforce ecosystem. It will help the customer journey become even more intimate and relational.
