The enthusiasm of the Salesforce Community isn't limited to Dreamforce. Their passion for connecting and learning is year-round, as evidenced by the extrodinary event held in Chicago last week.
Salesforce User Group leaders from Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana coordinated a huge, multi-state event at Navy Pier in Chicago to to unite midwest Salesforce users together for a one-day event called Midwest Dreamin'. The event kicked off with an inspiring keynote from Peter Coffee, VP for Strategic Research, on the salesforce.com vision for the next 15 years. The event was packed with fantastic sessions—so if you weren't able to make it, here's a taste of the 4 most memorable moments.
I'm not sure you could redecorate your entire office, but the swag at Midwest Dreamin' was a hit. The "I (heart) resetting passwords", and "I (heart) User Group Therapy" from Alternative were a big hit with Salesforce Admins and User Group Leaders.
Of course, the swag wasn't all that the expo area had to offer. Many vendors had great demos and a wealth of tools for Salesforce Admins and Developers needing to solve complex business problems.
From a packed room of people watching Mark Ross (@SalesforceYoda) demo amazing use cases of Flow to Salesforce MVP Amber Neill Boaz (@Amber9904) getting a room of nonprofits excited to develop on the platform, each presentation catered to a different vertical or role and gave attendees a lot to choose from.
The Midwest Dreamin team did a great job of coordinating all of these presentations and giving you one place to view them. Click here to see the slides.
Throughout the entire event, Salesforce Admins, Developers, and users could get their tough questions answered by some of the brightest stars in the community. Staffing the Ask the Experts booth and pictured here are Salesforce MVPs Kyla Longe (@seriouslyKyla), Steve Molis (@SteveMoForce), Brad Gross (@ImperialStout), and Alex Sutherland (@Apexsutherland).
When they weren't out presenting they helped to tackle questions around workflow rules, validation, reporting, and Apex Code. But their expertise doesn't end at the event. All of them, and many more MVPs, are active on Twitter and in the Salesforce Success Community. Tweet at them today using the hashtag #Askforce!
Not only did Shawna Wolverton, Senior Director Product Platform Management, and Todd Enders, Senior Director of Product Marketing, deliver a great closing keynote, but they left us with some solid advice for anyone in the Salesforce Community.
The good news is that you really didn't miss out on any of these moments entirely. The Salesforce Community is full of ways for you to participate, and it can start at your local user group. Midwest Dreamin' was organized by user group leaders who work hard every month to put together the same great content in their area. You can find a local user group by clicking here.
