I couldn't be more proud to announce that Salesforce has been recognized by the Washington Business Journal as the #1 Best Place to Work in the Greater Washington Area for 2018! As proud as I am, I'm equally unsurprised that the incredible teams of Herndon, VA - and now Reston, VA (our newest Washington D.C.-area office) - have achieved this honor. Here, the sense of Ohana (the Hawaiian word for family) is strong, and I experience it every single day. From our DC World Tour, to our involvement in the community, to our growing Ohana Groups (including Women's Network, Vetforce, and more), the Herndon and Reston teams live Salesforce values through and through.

Our employees are our greatest competitive advantage. They ensure that we are delivering innovative products and a great customer experience. They are out in the community giving back. And they create an environment where everyone at Salesforce can bring their whole self to work.

So, what gets our incredible employees excited about coming to work each day? Here's what a few of my teammates had to say:

“When you enter the Salesforce office in Reston, you immediately feel a sense of community. An inclusive environment designed to help everyone be successful, whether your focus is customer facing, professional development, volunteering, equality, mindfulness, or overall personal wellness.”

- Kristin, Strategic Account Manager

“I love being part of the Field Marketing team in Reston, VA. Our office and my team members have a unique and positive spirit that really resonates with the Ohana culture, which makes coming to work enjoyable. We embrace giving back as part of our culture with VTO opportunities every month, and it's great to see Salesforce's philanthropic values being recognized in our local communities and also on a global level. I am so proud to be part of this great company!”

- Pooja, Field Marketing Analyst

“There is a true feeling of family (Ohana, as we call it) in the Reston office. I work, collaborate, celebrate, and engage with my coworkers on a daily basis. There are social events that allow us to connect weekly, and the beautiful space allows us to readily collaborate on our work, and also unwind in the mindfulness space when we need a break. There is no other workplace in the area that has all of this, and I am grateful every day to work for Salesforce.”

- Will, Director, Techforce

I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you Washington Business Journal for such a truly memorable honor.
