For the fourth year in a row, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has honored Salesforce as one of the “Top Workplaces in Atlanta.” This year, we were humbled to be named #3 on the list of large companies (500 or more employees), alongside so many other great companies who care deeply about workplace culture.
More than 2,500 companies were nominated or asked to participate in the 2018 Top Workplaces awards by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and its partner Workplace Dynamics. To determine the top workplaces of the year, Workplace Dynamics, a human resources consulting company, surveyed 275 Atlanta-area companies that agreed to participate — a total of 60,000 metro workers.
It's no secret that, to Salesforce, every employee is an invaluable part of our Ohana (or family). Our employees are our greatest competitive edge: They ensure that we are delivering innovative products and a great customer experience; they are out in the community giving back; and, they create an environment where every Salesforce employee can bring their whole self to work.
Why do Salesforce Atlanta employees get excited about coming to work?
For me personally, I've worked at Salesforce for more than 15 years, and it's never the same day twice. We are constantly innovating, creating new products and services, and bringing on new customers. Plus, our team is growing fast, so there are always lots of great new people to get to know around the office. I'm also proud of how involved our team is in the community. We've forged meaningful partnerships with a number of local organizations and have regular volunteering activities that appeal to a wide range of causes, from animal welfare (PAWS Atlanta) and food security (Atlanta Community Food Bank, Meals on Wheels Atlanta) to coaching/mentoring underprivileged youth (Big Brothers Big Sisters Atlanta) and beautifying our city (Park Pride, Trees Atlanta).
Here's what a couple of my teammates had to say:
“Our company culture is amazing! Each morning I wake up knowing that I will walk into an office full of fun and excitement. I have developed great relationships with my colleagues and a sense of trust. I am fulfilled by the employee engagement displayed throughout the company by my Salesforce family,” says Lekeedra on the Recruiting Team.
Jones, who works on the Solutions Engineering Team, loves coming to work because: “We get to change lives! We're very passionate about helping our customers find solutions that meet their challenges and help them reach their goals. I love when someone tells me they are using spreadsheets to track everything - because I know I am about to change their life.”
