We came. We saw. We Dreamforced.

Last week was a whirlwind of learning, connecting, and having fun at Salesforce’s annual extravaganza in San Francisco. Over 171,000 Trailblazers from 91 countries and more than 10 million online viewers joined us in a Trailhead wonderland for educational sessions (3,700+!), collaborative panels, networking opportunities, and inspirational keynotes from a powerhouse lineup that included former First Lady Michelle Obama, Thorn co-founder Ashton Kutcher, Girl Scouts of the USA CEO Sylvia Acevedo, former First Daughters and authors Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush, and many more.

Throughout it all, Salesforce employees were right in the middle of the action, creating amazing experiences for our Trailblazers ... and some fun memories of our own. So, what exactly were our employees up to this year? Take a look.

Blazing Trails Together

Dreamforce is an amazing opportunity for our employees to connect with the rest of the #SalesforceOhana – our extended family of customers, partners, and members of our community. Whether it was meeting on campus, celebrating at events, or giving back together – like this group of employees and MVP customers volunteering at a local school – we made sure to spend quality time with our favorite Trailblazers.

Rocking for a Cause

Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys rocked a showstopping Dreamfest performance at AT&T Park to raise $15 million for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Two days later, Metallica, Dave Matthews, G-Eazy, and more took the stage at the Band Together Bay Area concert to raise $23 million for North Bay fire relief. Great tunes, great causes … talk about a win/win.

Celebrating Equality

#EqualityforAll is one of Salesforce’s core values, and we celebrated with a full-day Equality Summit. Extraordinary speakers included Taraji P. Henson, Natalie Portman, and an incredible panel of Equality Trailblazers featuring deafblind lawyer and activist Haben Girma (pictured), who inspired us with the message that people with disabilities have a competitive advantage as natural problem solvers.

Championing Innovation

Every year, the world eagerly waits to see what game-changing product announcements come out of Dreamforce … and this year was no exception. We introduced myTrailhead, myEinstein, myLightning, mySalesforce, myIoT, Quip Collaboration Platform, a strategic partnership with Google, and more seriously cool innovations … like the IoT-enabled LEGO city above, because why not?

Meeting Up With Ohana Groups

Salesforce has ten (that’s right, ten) Ohana Groups, or Employee Resource Groups, which celebrate and bring together diverse team members and their allies. You better believe our groups were out in full force during Dreamforce – from Outforce’s Outfierce Surf Camp fundraising soiree to BOLDforce’s Equality sessions to the Latinoforce Fiesta above, plus many more.

Living Well

After three whirlwind days, we were all in need of a little R&R. Thursday’s sessions focused on compassion and mindfulness, and how we can all be little kinder to ourselves and others. On hand to help us embrace the zen – philanthropist and epidemiologist Larry Brilliant, professor Adam Grant, and monastics from Plum Village who led us in meditation exercises.

Enjoying the View

If you were anywhere near downtown San Francisco last week, you saw that we brought the Dreamforce National Park theme to life, with the Dream Valley, our very own Mount Rushmore, even an indoor waterfall! Employees lounged alongside customers on Adirondack chairs in Yerba Buena gardens, explored the Einstein Observatory, admired Quip Springs, and (of course) donned their Trailblazer hoodies with pride.

Not too bad for four days at the office, right? Well, after all that excitement, our Ohana is now back to regularly scheduled programming … until next year. See you in 2018, Dreamforce!
