It’s no secret that customers today compare their experiences with the best they’ve received anywhere, whether it’s booking airline tickets online, shopping on their mobile devices or ordering groceries for delivery. Customer demand for more personalized and intelligent experiences has pushed digital transformation to the top of companies’ agendas — and this demand impacts every industry differently. For example, 71% of patients want their doctors to provide a mobile app to manage their health. And 76% of investors want a holistic view of their accounts via modern technology tools. The convergence of cloud, mobile, social, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence has created unprecedented opportunity for companies to re-imagine their business models. And as companies from every industry pivot towards the customer, whether their model is B2B or B2C, all companies must heed the call to transform themselves.

At Salesforce, we’re addressing these unique demands with our industry strategy, which involves a deep focus on speaking the language of the customer. Today, as we mark the kickoff of Industry Week at the company, I’m proud to see this strategy continuing to pay off, including industry customer success, a growing partner ecosystem creating industry-relevant solutions and incredible organic industry product momentum. Our strategy as a company has always been to listen to our customers and inspire them with a vision for the future, and this approach is clearly taking hold.

Let’s start with industry customers. We continue to grow our relationships with some of the largest and most strategic industry brands worldwide. In fact, in Q4 alone, we expanded our relationships with three of the five largest CPG companies in the world; five of the top banks in Europe; and some of the largest healthcare companies in the United States, such as Anthem, Athenahealth and Humana — all running their businesses on Salesforce. We’ll have two more big industry customer announcements this week as well, so be sure to check back on the Salesforce Newsroom for updates.

When it comes to our industry partners, we’re also seeing momentum in how they’re building new apps and services for our mutual customers. This includes everything from building on top of our industry solutions — such as more than a dozen ISVs delivering new apps on Health Cloud — to the growth of the Salesforce Fullforce Program, which includes more than 70 offerings from systems integrators and consulting partners providing proven industry implementations for our customers. And through some very strategic partnerships, our ecosystem is creating world-class solutions for insurance, telecommunications, CPG, public sector and life sciences.

Finally, the one-year anniversary of the general availability of Financial Services Cloud and Health Cloud demonstrates our commitment to empower financial firms and healthcare organizations to connect with their customers in new ways. Financial Services Cloud helps advisors build deeper 1-to-1 client relationships, supercharge productivity and deliver always-on client engagement. Health Cloud enables healthcare organizations to gain a complete view of their patients and members, make more informed care decisions and engage across caregiver networks. Check out this interview from our leaders on how technology will affect the future of health. And stay tuned for an exciting Financial Services Cloud update on relationship intelligence early next week, powered by Salesforce Einstein.

The agenda of industry CEOs is growth, and Salesforce provides the innovative technology to accelerate this growth. With Salesforce, businesses succeed in the digital transformation needed to meet ongoing demands of today's consumers — whether patients, investors, subscribers or others. That is the power of speaking the language of the customer.
