What work week includes four unforgettable days of learning, inspiration, and fun ...and one day where you seriously need a nice, long nap?
That would be Dreamforce, and this year’s event was our biggest and best yet. In our first sold-out year, we welcomed over 171,000 Customer Trailblazers in person and 15 million viewers online. With world-class speakers including Melinda Gates, Robin Roberts, Tony Robbins, and more – plus a showstopping performance by U2 – it was a fantastic gathering of Salesforce customers, partners, and communities. And … let’s not forget … our employees.
Throughout the week’s festivities, our employees were on the ground and right in the action, creating amazing experiences for our customers while having some fun of our own. Take a look at what Salesforce employees were up to throughout Dreamforce 2016.
GIVING BACK
Photo: Suzanne DiBianca, EVP, Corporate Relations
Giving back isn’t just what we do at Salesforce … it’s who we are. This Dreamforce, we came together to raise $10.3 million for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, and over $3 million for (RED) and the fight against AIDS. Check out Ebony Frelix, our SVP of Programs and Grant Making, crushing the (RED) keynote, above!
ROCKING OUT

It’s a beautiful day! U2 brought down the house at our Dreamfest extravaganza to benefit the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. Employees, customers, and partners mixed, mingled, ate, and drank under the stars in the Cloud Palace … it was truly a night to remember.
CHAMPIONING EQUALITY

Equality is one of our core values, and it came to life in a big way at our Women & Equality Summit, in sessions and events featured in our Equality Trail Map, and at parties hosted by our company’s Employee Resource Groups including Outforce and BOLDforce. Here Tony Prophet, our new Chief Equality Officer, strikes a pose with members of Salesforce’s Latinoforce employee group.
EMBRACING NEW OHANA MEMBERS
Photo: Ben Levine, Marketing Writer, Global Employer Brand Team
This year, Salesforce has acquired a phenomenal lineup of innovative companies including Demandware, Heywire, Quip, and more, and we are currently welcoming them into our family. Here, our employee marketing team got to know Quip living docs in the expo.
LEARNING A LOT
Photo: Michael Booth, VP, Solution Engineering
We learn just as much from our customers, partners, and communities as they do from us – if not more! With over 3,300 breakout sessions, a brand-new Fortune CEO series, and business and product keynotes galore, Dreamforce was a great opportunity for employees to become students again.
GOING GLOBAL
Photo: @SalesforceJobs
We can’t bring all of our employees out to San Francisco for Dreamforce … so we brought a bit of Dreamforce for them! We hosted 12 keynote viewing parties for our people around the world. As you can see, our employees in Tokyo were Team Trailhead all the way.
CELEBRATING TOGETHER
Photo: John Zissimos, Chief Creative Officer
It takes many creative minds to make Dreamforce the most magical and memorable event of the year. Here, our creative team takes a well-deserved moment to celebrate. Hats off to the talented group that puts the “dream” in “Dreamforce.”
WORKING IT
Photo: Rana Husseini, Senior Marketing Manager, Employee Engagement Programs
Dreamforce is a lot of play, but there’s some work involved, too! Through our Boothforce app, employees signed up to man booths, assist customers, lead presentations, and help out at volunteer activities in Moscone Center.
HAVING FUN
Photo: Catherine Spence, Technical Writer
SaaSy and Chatty, oh my! Fun was definitely on the agenda at Dreamforce. From goofing off in the Dreampark to hugging our loveable mascots to donning crazy costumes in the expo, we had a blast every step of the way.
Whew. What a week huh? Now it’s time for a much-needed break until we do it all again. See you next year, Dreamforce!
