For the second year in a row, Salesforce has been named to Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Workplaces for Millennials” list! We are honored to once again be recognized for creating a workplace where future leaders can make an immediate impact, give back, and have fun.

Creating a best workplace, for all ages, starts with open and honest communication across all levels. Salesforce teaches its managers that transparency is extremely important, and we encourage, empower, and expect our employees to have a voice in how we run our business. We do this in several ways: Chatter (our internal social network), the V2MOM (which stands for Values, Vision, Methods, Obstacles and Measures ensures that we are aligned with the company’s, teams’ and individuals’ priorities), the company’s all hands meetings. This helps ensure that every employee (regardless of experience or tenure at Salesforce) feels connected with the company, fulfilled by their role, and can see a path for professional development.

“Salesforce knows that the new generation of workers thrives in meaningful, challenging roles where they get real-time feedback and support for their near and long-term career goals,” said L. David Kingsley, VP, ES Global Strategy and Operations. “And most importantly, millennials – like most employees, regardless of generation – want to be part of an organization with values aligned with theirs.”

Millennials get a warm welcome to Salesforce through the FutureForce global university recruiting program. Salesforce brings on interns and new graduates from around the world (881 in total this summer) to work on real projects that affect how our business runs, giving them the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of our company, and to truly be a part of the team.

When asked why Salesforce is a great place to work Nick Reitnour, a summer 2016 intern says, “Salesforce cares about its people because we are all one Ohana [“family” in Hawaiian]. Through all of this, teamwork is paramount,”

Kim Chouard, a summer 2014 intern and current product manager at Salesforce (80% of eligible FutureForce interns are offered full-time positions), says that one of the reasons that he joined Salesforce is the philanthropic opportunities: “We can really use our volunteering hours to have a huge impact and improve the lives of others.

Millennials bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, are eager to contribute in meaningful ways to our #SalesforceOhana, and believe in the importance of Giving Back and Equality for All – two of our core values. They are an integral part of making Salesforce a great place to work for people of all ages!
