Four years ago our CEO, Marc Benioff, envisioned a track inside of Dreamforce that would focus on the contributions of UCSF to innovation in medicine.  Rather than focus on Salesforce, we designed this track to highlight an organization we strongly support, edify and entertain the audience, and provide an interesting window into the forefront of medicine.

We had great success the first year that we kicked off the Unusual Thinkers track, and we've been doing it ever since.  We've had researchers talking about intra-uterine fetal surgery, the pernicious effects of sugar, how brains are mapped during neurosurgery, and several other topics.  It has been interesting and fun, and response has been enthusiastic.

We are thrilled to host this fourth UCSF/Unusual Thinkers Track  

People have different motivations for attending the UCSF/Unusual Thinkers Track.  Some of our customers in healthcare want to hear what’s happening in their fields. Others have personal reasons for learning about some of the topics, i.e. they or their loved ones have experience with some of the conditions.  And some attend simply because it’s fascinating and a welcome breather from the intensity of Dreamforce.
