Entire consumer industries are being reinvented by apps. Think of how easy it is to hail a taxi with Uber and the way Square has simplified the process of accepting credit cards.
So why not offer the same magical experience we have with technology in our personal lives on the enterprise side? AGIO is one company doing just that. The rapidly growing business, which provides tech services to alternative investment managers, has been a salesforce.com customer almost from its 2010 inception.
Along with the CRM and service capabilities, AGIO is realizing the full potential of Salesforce Platform by also using it to develop custom apps that meet specific business needs. Read on for two such examples.
AGIO has ballooned from three employees to over 130 in just a few years. It is vital for the company that new hires be fully trained and ready to go their first day. Using Salesforce Platform, AGIO has created an onboarding app featuring a 62-step process.
Over a two-week training period, the progress of each trainee is carefully monitored and steps are checked off, right down to their welcome email and facilities access. The onboarding process even includes a calendar invite for a lunch meeting 30-days out, where a top executive meets with a new hire to make sure they are thriving.
As a services company, AGIO manages some 700 customer cases any given day. By leveraging Salesforce Platform, they created a service portal to help their employees manage workload better. The application gives a single, real-time view of each open case within the organization. In addition, it serves as a safety net by offering warnings if a case is coming due.
