There is no better way to kick off Dreamforce than getting a re-cap of the exciting things that have taken place across our community this past year. Over 1200 enthusiastic salesforce users gathered at Dreamforce 2012 to look back and share highlights from the past year, and inspire each other.

During the keynote, we introduced our community members who are fueling the conversation on social channels and shared how they can get quick answers to all their Salesforce questions. We also revealed a behind-the-scenes peek at our social media strategy and introduced you to some of our heroes -- from the Salesforce Hulk to the guy who manages his girlfriends in Salesforce. Tap into the power of community!

To wrap things up, we held a fireside chat with some active MVPs who discussed how the community helps them grow their careers and gave tips to others who are seeking to get more engaged and get the most out of the products.

The attendees left inspired by innovative ideas and the ability to tap into the community to share your knowledge, help others, and learn something in the process.

Content & Conversations That Delight

Jennifer Burnham, Director of Social and Content Strategy, shared her perspective on the exciting shift to social today, and the pressure this explosive growth is putting on managing social channels.

Her team has been rolling out Buddy Media to manage the Salesforce content calendar, Facebook apps, social advertising, and social analyticsWith the new Marketing Cloud, the team can now manage over 129 individual channels and publishing over 350 pieces of content a month through one platform. With the ability to assign permissions to dozens of people who are posting to social channels,  the team also has greater visibility into how these channels are performing.

The key message is that Buddy Media is helping our social team spend less time managing chaos and more time creating content that delights.
