Congratulations to team Heroku, who just announced the public beta of Heroku for Java. Java becomes the fourth official language supported by the platform and arguably the most prominent.
There are roughly six million Java developers today. An agile and developer-centric platform like Heroku has the potential to take Java to new heights, putting Java into a new class of social and mobile cloud applications. Heroku's culture and platform has always embraced openness and choice for developers, a very relevant philosophy in a world of multi-language enterprise environments, enabling developers to pick the right tools for the right jobs.
