We’ve been busy adding new features to Chatter so you can be even more collaborative, productive—and all those other "-tives"— than ever before. Today we’re kicking off a three-part series about our favorite features and how we’re using them at salesforce.com to work smarter on Chatter. 

First up are some cool additions to files. Collaborating on files is simpler and faster now that you can share and update a file right from a Chatter feed, in both public and private groups. You can also assign the roles of collaborator or viewer, so coworkers who need to modify your document can also upload new versions of your file.
