Every few months, I have to declare “email bankruptcy” and move all of my emails to an archive folder that I will probably never look at again. Emails have reached epidemic proportions these days and everyone from a FORTUNE 500 CEO to my retired librarian mother seems to be a victim of an overwhelming inbox.

However, I never seem to be overwhelmed by my Facebook profile, Twitter account, or the blogs I follow. With more than 600 million people on Facebook, and more than 155 million tweets per day, social media channels have more than enough volume to overwhelm anyone, but somehow they don’t.

Xobni (pronounced zob-nee) has found a way to bring the power and ease of social media profiles to your inbox. Xobni lets you combine individual email threads, exchanged attachments, appointments and shared links, and social media content (Facebook and LinkedIn updates, Twitter tweets, etc.), to make profiles that give you a complete view of your contacts.
