Ok, maybe that’s a little extreme. Your notebook probably isn’t as rage-inducing as a broken fax machine. But you have to admit, the notebook is pretty outdated. Today’s workplace is more demanding than ever, and leveraging social and collaborative tools is essential to keep up with the furious pace. Unfortunately, there’s nothing social or collaborative about a notebook. Passing it around to coworkers or making photocopies just feels old-school when we have all this cool technology at our fingertips.
I bought an iPad a month ago and have since ditched my beloved Moleskine notebook. So far, the switch has been successful. Though I lose the tactile satisfaction of a classic pen and paper, I get so much more in return:
