Welcome to Dreamforce — the largest gathering of Trailblazers from around the world. We hope your first day was filled with inspiration, learning, and fun — and that you're starting to get the lay of the land. Before you head out to the opening night parties and happy hours, check out our list of the top four moments from Day 1 at Dreamforce.

1. We are All Trailblazers: Customer Success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution with Marc Benioff and special guests

Marc Benioff's Dreamforce opening keynote is always a can't-miss event, and this year was no exception. We met incredible Trailblazers like Stephanie Herrera, who blazed a trail from the cotton fields in West Texas to a career as a director of technology and Salesforce MVP. Herrera now shares her passion for Salesforce with others as the founder of Salesforce Saturday. Incredible customers such as adidas, 21st Century Fox, and Girl Scouts joined us on the keynote stage to discuss how Salesforce is enabling them to connect to their customers in a whole new way. The keynote was also full of exciting new announcements, including a brand-new partnership with Google.

2. Technology Innovation as a Force for Good with Ashton Kutcher

It's only the first day, but Ashton Kutcher's talk may be one of the most emotional and inspiring hours of the entire week. Kutcher discussed what prompted him to co-found Thorn, which partners across several industries to fight trafficking and the exploitation of children with the power of technology. Citing Bono's crusade to end AIDS as one of his primary inspirations, Kutcher decided to “put down the phone and be the person who steps in to help.” If you missed this incredible discussion, bookmark the link on Salesforce LIVE and the recording will be available shortly.

3. Being Color Brave with Mellody Hobson

Mellody Hobson has quite the resume: President of Ariel Investments, a member of the Board of Directors for the Starbucks Corporation, as well as Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., and one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World. She's using her influence to encourage conversations about race in the workplace. In a discussion with Salesforce Chief Equality Officer Tony Prophet, Hobson shared her personal journey and why she believes civil rights can't be left out of the boardroom.

4. The Customer Success Expo opened (and impressed)

Sure, the Customer Success Expo boasts a lot of swag and bright shiny objects. But it also demonstrates first-hand how thousands of solutions work with Salesforce to help our customers succeed. The Customer Success Expo opened today, and many Dreamforce attendees started making their way through the world’s largest cloud ecosystem to discover the future of technology. In addition to fun interactive experiences (and some opportunities to snap a picture for your social media channels), there are 100 demo stations and more than 500 workshop and theater sessions. Get hands-on with your favorite Salesforce products and learn how customers like KONE, Citi, UCSF, and more are transforming their respective industries with Salesforce. It's open all week, so stop on by!

That's a wrap for day one of Dreamforce — now bring on day two!
