The Fight for Equal Pay Continues

Last Dreamforce, we held the second annual Women & Equality Summit. This day was dedicated to topics focused on economic equality, diversity, inclusion, the role business leaders can play, and more. Salesforce is an active supporter of equality and we were excited to continue the conversation with visionary speakers and real, honest conversations. Some of the brightest, most forward-thinking, and driven leaders joined us from government, business, media, sports and beyond. This episode is Part 2 of our coverage of the Women & Equality Summit. Be sure to go back and listen to last week's episode if you missed Part 1.

A new movie, Battle of the Sexes, focuses on the iconic tennis match between
Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. This new movie is bringing King's push for equality and activism for Equal Pay back into the spotlight. King is known for championing a woman's right to equal pay. In this episode, we're revisiting some of our conversations with her and other Equal Pay pioneers.

A lot of progress has been made when it comes to closing the wage gap. But there is still a lot more to be done. In this insightful conversation from our Women & Equality Summit at Dreamforce 2016, we dove deep into how women today can rally together for equal pay, and how Salesforce is not only talking the talk when it comes to equal pay, but are walking the walk. We hear from Equal Pay for Equal Work Activist,
Lilly Ledbetter, inspiration for President Obama's first act of legislation, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, as well as Cindy Robbins, EVP of Global Employee Success and Jenny Yang, Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
