Giving back is such an important part of our culture at Salesforce and we want to share that with the Dreamforce community. At the same time, we want to share what Dreamforce has to offer with our nonprofit partners. #DFGives has gotten bigger and better each year and we’re excited to share what we have in store for this year!
This year, more than 500 students and aspiring young professionals will be joining us throughout the week for a handful of different activities.
Students from San Francisco and Oakland Unified School Districts and the Girl Scouts will participate in a coding camp and interactive treasure hunt throughout the Trailhead Zone. The Girl Scouts will also be putting their business skills to the test selling cookies at the Learning Cabin on the Dream Valley and the Salesforce.org Lodge each day–so if you have a sweet tooth, take note!
These aspiring professionals will have their own networking journey throughout the partner expo where they’ll be able to connect with our corporate partners, learn valuable business skills, and build their networks.
As in year’s past, we will have a space in Dream Valley call the Learning Hut. It’s the go-to place to get inspired and give back with different themes each day.
On Monday, share your best piece of career advice at our live interview booth. After the event, these tips and tricks will be compiled and shared with our nonprofit workforce development partners.
Tuesday is all about education and we’ll be supporting students affected by the recent hurricanes by packing backpacks with World Vision. There will also be a special meet-up for former Girl Scouts to connect with each other, mingle with staff, and meet current scouts.
Wednesday will be all about environmental sustainability. Come by to understand how our climate, parks, and oceans are all inextricably linked to the success of our global communities and economies.
On Thursday, we will be highlighting corporate giving with Pledge 1%. Join Pledge 1% companies and our military veteran community for a networking event hosted by Suzanne DiBianca, Salesforce’s EVP of Corporate Relations
Amazing things happen when we work together as a community! From supporting the fight against AIDS to donating books to local schools, we’ve seen it happen here in the past. This year, we are supporting equal access to education and opportunity with the help of the Dreamforce community.
Attendees will be able to explore campus with quests that will challenge them to explore and experience all that Dreamforce has to offer. For every Dreamforce Quest that is completed, Salesforce.org will donate $50. All funds will go towards ensuring everyone has the tools they need to get a great education and join the workforce. Donations will be split between three organizations making great strides in this space: Girl Scouts, College Track, and Upwardly Global. Our goal is to unlock $1 million and hope you’ll help us get there!
That’s not all though! On Tuesday, November 7th, we have an amazing opportunity for everyone at DF to get involved with our philanthropy. Join us at the concert for kids, held in conjunction with Dreamfest. Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz will be rocking AT&T park and it’s an evening you won’t want to miss.
Big thank you to our top sponsors! We're still looking for more sponsors and individual tickets are available. You won't want to miss our legendary after party at Pier 48 with Will.i.am and MC Hammer. Visit www.theconcertforkids.com for more information.
Looking forwarding to giving back with the Dreamforce community! See you there.
