Giving back is a huge part of the Salesforce culture and has been since the company was founded 18 years ago, so it only makes sense that it has a large presence at our events as well. Community is something that’s really important to us and it’s so powerful to see the Dreamforce community come together to accomplish some big things and learn from each other

We’re really excited about our big goal this year and how we’re going to get there because we’re mixing things up! This year, we’re empowering the Dreamforce community to unlock donations throughout the week with the goal of raising $1M to go towards equal access to education and opportunity. Attendees may have experienced the Quest in the Trailhead lodge in years past, but this year they’re going campus-wide and every time an attendee completes one, he or she will unlock a donation.

The funds will be divided between three organizations who are all working to empower the next generation of leaders around the world- Girl Scouts, College Track, and Upwardly Global. At Salesforce.org, we are committed to equal access to education and opportunity to young people around the world. These three organizations are doing amazing work preparing the youth of today for the jobs of tomorrow and we’re excited to support them and showcase their work on our biggest stage.

Part of why they are such a good fit for this year is that learning is the main theme of Dreamforce and working with these organizations really ties attendee learning to learning and opportunity for our broader communities.

Girl Scouts: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

College Track: Empower students from underserved communities to graduate from college

Upwardly Global: Eliminate employment barriers for skilled immigrants and refugees and integrate this population into the professional U.S. workforce.

The Quest is designed to transcend whatever industry you’re in and can bring you out of your comfort zone to explore new areas and technologies.
