Last night Salesforce brought together business, government, and nonprofit leaders as well as community members to honor four Equality trailblazers at our first-ever Equality Awards ceremony. On the eve of Equal Pay Day Humanitarian and Sports Icon Billie Jean King, Equal Pay for Equal Work Activist Lilly Ledbetter, Academy Award Winner and Activist Patricia Arquette, and nine-time Grammy Award-Winning Singer and Philanthropist Mary J. Blige were awarded for their efforts to further Equality for all.

“It’s time to do more than just measure the pay gap,” said Patricia Arquette as she accepted her award.

The event took place at the beautiful National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, opened the night speaking about the importance of leaders who stand up for change. The evening served as a reminder of how much more progress we can achieve if we all work together as one community and one Ohana.

As Billie Jean King said during her speech, “dare to lead" and let's work together to be leaders of equal pay and Equality in our businesses, communities, and world.
