As CEO of MapAnything, a Gold Salesforce ISV Partner, Dreamforce is one of my favorite times of the year. It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn, network, connect and give back to the community. This will be my sixth Dreamforce and I always leave feeling energized and excited.
As Dreamforce has grown so has its footprint and today the show encompasses much of San Francisco. Thankfully, Salesforce provides a fleet of buses that travel between the hotels, Moscone Center and Dreamfest. For me, they are an invaluable part of Dreamforce and I depend on them every year.
From personal experience, one of the challenges at Dreamforce is juggling where you need to be and making sure you get there on time. In addition to attending keynotes and sessions – you also have meetings planned, calls to make and actual work to get done. That means a lot of traveling between your hotel, the campus and other key locations on the shuttle buses.
This year MapAnything is helping Dreamforce attendees get the most out of the conference by providing a free app that tracks the hotel buses in real time. The MapAnything DF16 Buses app connects to the Salesforce IoT Cloud and is powered by MapAnything Live (a new product we are launching at Dreamforce).
MapAnything Live enables Internet of Things (IoT) workflow inside Salesforce. Companies with field teams especially those with fleets of vehicles can use it to streamline operations and reduce costs. It provides unprecedented business process automation using real-time vehicle telematics or tracking app data in combination with Salesforce records and business rules.
The MapAnything DF16 Buses app is perfect for first time attendees as well as Dreamforce veterans like myself. It is all you need to navigate the campus and San Francisco.
With the MapAnything DF16 Buses app you can:
The MapAnything DF16 Buses app can be accessed from the Dreamforce app or you can download it directly from iOS Store and Google Play.
If you’d like to learn more about MapAnything Live, please attend my session on Thursday titled Tracking Dreamforce Buses – MapAnything Live Brings IoT to Salesforce or stop by a MapAnything booth (1904 and 1924) in the Cloud Expo.
I hope you have a memorable Dreamforce and find the buses app of value!
