Did you know that Salesforce has been investing in companies since 2009? That Salesforce has one of the most active corporate investment groups? Or that Salesforce Ventures - Salesforce’s corporate investment group, is the only strategic investor 100% focused on investing in enterprise cloud companies? What does this mean for you? It means even more innovation and this year, we’re making it easier than ever to take advantage of this innovation at Dreamforce by helping you connect with our portfolio companies and the Salesforce Ventures team.
One of the easiest ways for those attending Dreamforce to experience the innovation is to spend some time in the Cloud Expo. Many of our portfolio companies will have booths on the floor of Dreamforce including Docusign, Gainsight, Mulesoft, NewVoiceMedia, Radius, Talkdesk, Twilio, and Vidyard. These companies are built on the Salesforce platform, are part of the AppExchange or integrate into Salesforce through our API’s making it extremely easy for you to implement them at your own companies.
This year, Salesforce Ventures is hosting two sessions to help your small business grow and provide expert advice about how to raise your next round. The Anatomy of a Successful Startup From Idea to Exit on Wednesday October 5 at 4:30pm will feature companies who have created a successful business and successfully gone public or been acquired to help your build your own company even faster! 5 Trends Shaping the Investment Environment For Your Startup on Thursday, October 6th at 1pm which will feature a panel of top VCs from Silicon Valley discussing how your company can look for funding in today’s environment. Remember to add these two sessions to your Dreamforce agenda!
For the first time ever, Dreamforce will feature the Dreampitch competition! Dreampitch will give three early-stage startups building on the Salesforce App Cloud the opportunity to showcase their innovation onstage at Dreamforce in front of amazing judges including Mark Cuban and Chris Sacca. They’ll have the chance to receive up to a $150k investment from Salesforce Ventures. You can watch the deals happen live on Tuesday, October 4, at 1pm in Moscone West. And it’s not too late, you can still submit your startup for your chance to pitch until August 30th!
Be sure to follow Salesforce Ventures on Twitter to stay up to date on what our portfolio companies are up to at Dreamforce before and during the conference!
