Over the last year, we’ve had the pleasure of spending time with entrepreneurs and small-business leaders — talking to them about their challenges, their victories, and all the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

We’ve also talked to them about what’s in their office refrigerators.

Because entrepreneurs are a quirky and creative bunch, they’re always good fodder for a fun blog post — and this one is no exception. After hearing about some of the most common items entrepreneurs keep stocked in their office fridges, we posed this question: What does your work fridge say about your business culture?

And then we took the liberty of answering that question.

Editor’s note: We’re have no official training, so take this for what it is: armchair psychology from an amused content marketer.

Craft beer

You’re an entrepreneurial bunch, fueled by creative endeavors. You’re the kind of business where nobody is going to stop in the middle of a project and ask: “Are we having fun yet?”

That excitable energy is integrated into every client meeting, every presentation, and any grunt work that needs to get done around the office. We’ll cheers to that!

Bottled water

You’ve got a centered and healthy (and hydrated!) organization. That’s probably because you only hire reliable self-starters, the kind of people who hit corepower yoga in between giving two very important client presentations.

You’ve fostered a Zen-like environment where all of your employees maintain a normal heart rate around the office. This feat will undoubtedly quench your company’s thirst for wild success.

Questionable leftovers

We’re not judging you! But if we were judging you, we’d say conclusively you’re the type to work hard, and then work harder. You run a business where everyone is willing to stick around the office after hours to make sure the job gets done — and to get in on that chicken-fried rice delivery.

Congrats, you’ve mastered the art of fueling your employees, literally.

Every single type of dairy substitution

You’re the kind of leader who prides yourself on truly understanding your employees and making them happy. You treat them like individual people! Don’t overlook the value of this incredibly important business practice. After all, (happy) people are the foundation of your success.

Condiments, and nothing else

You’re the personality people who bring that certain zest to every part of the job. You know exactly how to make a boring sales presentation more palatable for everyone at the table. These are highly valuable skills that’ll naturally sweeten every deal.

If you’re looking for one takeaway, we might suggest this: stock your office fridge with all of the above, as they’re clearly the right ingredients to a thriving small business.
