Have you registered to attend your first Dreamforce? Congratulations! Dreamforce is an event like no other, and produces proven results in your company’s ROI. Are you feeling a little overwhelmed by the massive cloud conference? We understand!

With over 100,000 attendees expected, 1,500 sessions and countless parties and events, many first, or even second-time guests can find themselves a bit intimidated by the experience. It’s important to be prepared, so we’ve surveyed multiple Dreamforce veterans for their best advice.

With their tips on what to pack (and what to leave at home), getting around the busy San Francisco streets, networking with fellow attendees, and much more, you’ll feel like one of the pros by the time you hit the pavement on October 13.

The e-book is jam-packed with expert advice, but we’ve picked out three nuggets that will be most helpful for all you Dreamforce neophytes.

1. Leave your fancy shoes at home.

One of the most crucial things you can pack in your suitcase are comfortable shoes. You’re on your feet often: walking to events, workshops, keynotes, etc., plus the time you spend on your feet at parties and networking events. Don’t set yourself up for misery by wearing stilettos!

2. Don’t over-schedule yourself.

It may be tempting to plan every single minute of your days, but seasoned Dreamforce guests will tell you that some of the best networking happens in between sessions. Give yourself the opportunity to meet your fellow attendees without having to rush out the door to your next event without so much as a LinkedIn connection.

3. Make time for the Cloud Expo.

If you’re looking for swag (and who doesn’t love free stuff?) the place to be is the Cloud Expo, where some of the leading cloud computing companies are showcasing their latest products and technology. Leave room in your suitcase for all the swag you’ll be coming home with.
