App Mavericks is a new video series from the AppExchange, intended to introduce Salesforce customers to cool new apps through the eyes of Salesforce super-users and MVPs. This is the first in a series, so expect regular updates and subscribe to the AppExchange YouTube Channel to see new App Mavericks videos as they’re released.
Our first App Mavericks Chat was with Aaron Bird, the CEO of Bizible, learning about their marketing analytics app. I spent about an hour with Aaron Bird, learning about the Bizible app and business value for Salesforce customers.
Check out the highlights of our conversation. Here’s what you’ll learn:
- You can save a ton of time by simply uniting data sources.
- Your sales team can make more meaningful customer connections by knowing when and how the prospect has engaged with marketing campaigns.
- You don’t have to be a data scientist to gain complex marketing insights—apps can do a lot of the work for you.
Quick Takes:
- In under 20 minutes, you can easily link lead data across AdWords, Salesforce and your company website. You don’t need to be a Salesforce brainbox to get it working; it actually just takes a line of javascript on your site.
- Marketers can measure and forecast spend based on sales impact in one integrated interface, rather than a time-consuming mashup of reports from disparate systems.
- Sales is able to see where the conversation started with a prospect, down to the keywords they searched for or promotions they responded to.
If this sounds too good to be true (I thought it was, too!) then check out what other people are saying on the AppExchange—it has an amazing 120 ★★★★★ reviews for a reason.
Behind the Scenes:
Aaron and his co-founder are former Microsoft executives. They had four startup concepts, and Bizible is the one that made it through their intense market testing.

Geraldine Gray runs Endiem, a salesforce.com practice based in Houston. She started the Girly Geeks at Dreamforce five years ago and is very engaged with the Salesforce Community. She's been called a "Salesforce Power Broker," which is is scary, nerdy, and hilarious, but kind of true as her connections to Salesforce customers and partners run far and deep and wide. She really likes ironing, cooking and cleaning but is usually too busy golfing, running and drinking wine for her favorite hobbies.
