Salesforce users, listen up: there's a new, slimmed-down version of our summer release notes, with easy access to new features for contact managers and groups. 

The Salesforce Summer ’14 Release Notes for Growing Businesses provides details about what’s new for Contact Manager and Group Editions. These release notes are brief, so it’s easy to find out what’s new and changed.

Here’s a peek at some of the new features we delivered:

  • View and work with Salesforce records directly in Microsoft® Outlook® using the Salesforce Side Panel—a Salesforce for Outlook feature that’s now available for Contact Manager and Group Editions
  • Create Salesforce records, like accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities using the Salesforce Side Panel
  • Report on sales representatives meetings with customers
  • Create events on the Home tab, the Chatter tab, and record detail pages, without administrator setup
