Today we share a series of videos from the enlightened monastics of Plum Village. Zen Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh started this global community of mindfulness practice centers in Bordeaux, France, in 1982. It’s since grown to nine centers around the world, which “... create a healthy nourishing environment where people can learn the art of living in harmony with one another and with the Earth,” according to its website.

In the five videos below, the monastics at Plum Village’s Mississippi center take us through soothing and easy guided meditations, peppered with wisdom and insight.

“We have to take care of and be there for ourselves before we can take care of anyone else,” says Sister True Holding. “Set aside time every day — moments each day when we can check-in, relax, and let everything go.”

“Don’t focus on fear, anxiety, and doubt of the future,” says Brother Radiance. “You can encounter many wonderful things that are happening right now. Don’t water the fear that is happening. The more you water the fear the more you feel isolated. Try not to water negative seeds.”
