For the last 15 years, we’ve called Australia home and today we’re embarking on the next chapter. I’m proud to announce the newest tower in our global campus, Salesforce Tower Sydney, as well as our plans to hire 1,000 new employees locally over the next five years. Salesforce Tower Sydney is the latest addition to our tower family spanning across San Francisco, Indianapolis, New York, Atlanta, London, with locations on the way in Chicago, Dublin, and Tokyo.

Through our relentless pursuit of customer success, commitment to the community, and our incredibly talented employees, Sydney, we’re here to stay!

Earlier this year, we were named Australia’s #1 Best Place to Work by Great Place to Work for the second year in a row. Salesforce Tower Sydney will be a catalyst in attracting and retaining the best talent to deliver transformative technology to help companies across the region to grow and scale.

Get to know Salesforce Tower Sydney

We’re incredibly excited to bring all of our regional employees under one roof right in the heart of Sydney’s central business district, Circular Quay. Slated to open in late 2022, Salesforce Tower Sydney will stand 53 stories tall and will be the tallest office building in the city with iconic views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and beyond.

Salesforce Tower Sydney will be one of the most sustainable office campuses in Australia. The building has achieved Sydney's first-ever WELL core and shell Platinum pre-certification, the highest obtainable pre-certification, and will achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design and As Built rating, representing world excellence in sustainable design.

Consistent with our global design standards, Salesforce Tower Sydney will feature sweeping views of the cityscape, a Salesforce Innovation Center to welcome customers, social lounges, mindfulness zones as well as numerous seating options for our employees to gather and collaborate.

What makes our real estate truly unique is that in our named global Towers instead of dedicating the top floors for executive offices, we took a different approach. Known as the Ohana Floor, these flexible, open spaces are designed for our employees, customers, and partners to enjoy. On weeknights and weekends, local nonprofits and education groups can use the floor for their own events at no cost.

Today, we have Ohana Floors open in San Francisco, Indianapolis, New York, and London, with more coming soon in Chicago, Atlanta, Dublin, Tokyo and now, Sydney. Events on our Ohana Floors have raised over $5.6M for charity.

Driving change through giving back

Since the very beginning, the community has been vital to our success. Salesforce pioneered the 1-1-1 model, known today as Pledge 1% where the company has dedicated 1% of employee time, 1% of products, and 1% of resources to improve communities across the globe. More than 900 companies have committed to Pledge 1% across Australia, including Atlassian, Hub Australia, and CAPITAL-e.

We’re thrilled to build on our impact in Australia. Employees in Sydney have volunteered more than 153,000 hours with organizations including Dress for Success, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Vision Australia, Foodbank Australia, amongst numerous others. To celebrate Salesforce Tower Sydney, our employees are doubling up and have committed to volunteer 45,000 hours locally next year.

I’m looking forward to celebrating this moment with our team and building on the incredible culture, customers, partners, and the community that made today possible.
