Salesforce MVPs are full of Salesforce tips and best practices. And as part of the AppExchange ecosystem, they are ready and willing to recommend great apps that solve a range of business challenges. That’s why Salesforce MVPs host our App Mavericks video series, in which they interview AppExchange app creators to learn more about their offerings.
There’s a wealth of information in these videos, which is why we decided to provide a tidy list of recent videos in one place; pointing out how each app will help your business.
What it is: Sage Live is an accounting solution focused on empowering small-to-midsized businesses to accelerate growth. It is a powerful real time, natively collaborative accounting engine that automates low-value tasks to help businesses make better decisions based on what is happening today.
How it can help your business: Product Evangelist Nicole Hardin referenced a customer that moved its entire accounting process from Quickbooks to Salesforce, and which has seen exponential growth using Sage Live’s automation and end-to-end workflow capabilities.

What it is: SwagIQ by PFL enables sales reps to send gifts to their clients directly from Salesforce, making sending a gift from Salesforce as easy as sending an email. PFL provides the software, prints the notecards, and fulfills and ships the order.
How it can help your business: SwagIQ leverages the “law of reciprocity,” otherwise known as “guilting people into staying engaged,” according to Andrew Field, PFL Founder and CEO. “By sending out a gift, they kind of have to respond, and customers say that when their accounts go silent on them, they send some swag and get them to re-engage.”

What it is: Productivity Fox is an application that helps its customers work smarter and manage meetings more efficiently by focusing on more than just scheduling everyone. Productivity Fox helps with the details that are even more important: setting an agenda, taking minutes, and following up on action items after the meeting is finished.
How it can help your business: Productivity Fox brings together tools that help make meetings more efficient alongside project management functionality that exists in consumer-based applications, such as note-taking, project boards, and task management. It all lives within Salesforce to ensure security and a centralized database.

What it is: Velocify makes sure that an inside sales rep is always doing the right thing; whether that’s working the highest priority leads, sending the right lead to the right sales rep who can best convert the lead, or using the right tactics to best move leads through the sales cycle.
How it can help your business: Neglect of leads and prospects is happening across far too many organizations; one third of leads never get a response at all, according to Velocify CEO Nick Hedges. Velocify puts in place a system that makes sure every sales rep in an organization is following that company’s ideal sales process.

What it is: Conga ActionGrid brings an Excel-like experience into the Salesforce platform. The product behaves like a spreadsheet, and reinvents the Salesforce user experience through functionality such as lassoing data instead of checking boxes, adding color to certain items, and using Outlook-style reading panes to work with long text or related lists.
How it can help your business: Steve Roch, General Manager of Conga ActionGrid, told the story of an investment banking firm that saves thousands of hours per year by using the whole breadth Conga ActionGrid’s features, such as cross-object queries, to make labor-intensive work in Salesforce much, much easier.
