Welcome all! We hope your first day at Dreamforce was fun, productive, and super informative. We’ve wrapped up a full day of breakout sessions, opened the Cloud Expo, and kicked off the week with our Partner Keynote. Before you head out to welcome reception, read up on what everyone will be talking about. Here are 5 highlights from today, in case you missed it.
The Salesforce partner ecosystem is a powerful force. Covering programs, solutions, product knowledge, and a joint commitment to customer success, it’s a pretty exciting collective to be a part of. Tyler Prince, Executive Vice President of WW Alliances & Channels and multiple presenters took the stage to talk about what it means to be part of the #1 Cloud ecosystem. App Cloud was introduced to the partners and the new Lightning Experience was demoed to a packed room. Partners also got a look at the brand new IoT cloud, which harnesses, connects and applies logic to all of your data.

2. Strength in Numbers: The Golden State Warriors Culture & Philosophy
This year, the Golden State Warriors captured the 2015 NBA Championship after playing a phenomenal season. Rick Welts, President and COO and Bob Myers, General Manager of the Golden State Warriors shared their philosophy for building a championship culture. Myers spoke specifically of finding individuals who rise to the challenge. To illustrate his point, he told the story of NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, who never started the entire year, but kept working towards success and rose to help his team during the finals. Myers explains that building a great team is about finding people who strive to do what’s best for the group.

3. Kicking off #DFGive in style
There’s a different new giving theme every day with multiple ways to get involved on-site. This morning in the Dreampark, volunteers helped pack 2,500 Night Night kits to be sent to shelters and organizations that support homeless veterans and their families. All week you’ll be able to participate in the #DFGives 1 Million Book Drive, watch kids learn how to code, and connect with non-profits that are empowering women in tech.
4. Fireside chat with Adrian Grenier
Adrian Grenier is well-known for his roles on TV and film, but he’s also become a successful entrepreneur offscreen. He co-founded lifestyle brand shft.com in 2010, the Churchkey Can Company brewery in 2012, and then music incubator Wreckroom in 2013. Grenier took the stage to talk about his experience as a small business owner and his passion for social entrepreneurship.
