Today, we’re thrilled to announce a bunch of new Sales Cloud and Work.com features that are now available through the Salesforce1 Mobile App, empowering your sales reps to sell from anywhere.

With the new Salesforce1 Mobile App, your sales team can sell faster with unprecedented mobile access to Salesforce data and insights, sell better as a team since new features keep your entire sales team aligned, and sell with greater certainty, thanks to new reports and dashboard tools available directly on your mobile device.

Here's how:

1. Sell Faster

With the new Salesforce1 Mobile App, sales reps have unprecedented access to all their Salesforce data and insights from anywhere:

  • Users can now approve quotes or proposals from anywhere directly on their mobile device. Sales reps can submit records for approval or approve records directly from their Salesforce1 Mobile App on the go, making them more productive in the moment instead of waiting until they’re back in the office to move a deal forward.

  • With Topics in the Salesforce1 Mobile App, users can quickly identify experts in a specific topic so reps always know who specifically they should bring into a deal in order to drive it to a close.

  • We’re bringing enhancements to the Today app, which is a contextually-aware calendar that connects personal and business calendars and merges it with Salesforce data. It’s like Google Now for your business life. Now, users can log mobile calendar events in Salesforce1, add new contacts to Salesforce1 directly from mobile calendar events, access related account records directly from mobile calendar events, and much more.

2. Sell as a Team

Sell as a team and stay aligned with your entire team no matter where you are:

  • Work.com goals, coaching and skills are now available directly within the Salesforce1 Mobile App navigation menu, for sales performance on the go. Access team priorities, coaching notes, and skill endorsements directly from your phone so you’re always aligned with your team.

  • Now users can access interactive org charts directly from their phone to view team members and managers for greater insight into relationships.

3. Sell With Certainty

Sales reps can sell with more certainty than ever before with transparent analytics tools:

  • Users can now drill from a dashboard, into a report then all the way into individual records for unparalleled insights around what is driving business growth. Simply tap a row in a report to see the specific record the report data is coming from.

  • Focus on the data you care about. Simply sort complex data by tapping the column header to quickly get the information you want.

  • Dashboards in the Salesforce1 app are now able to display Visualforce dashboard components.  As with all Visualforce pages, the Visualforce dashboard component must be enabled for Salesforce1 to display in the app.

The new Salesforce1 Mobile App is now generally available for download at Apple App Store and Google Play. All new Salesforce1 Mobile App features are expected to be generally available in July 2014.
