Sales can be a grind. 

When the going is good, there is no profession in the world that can match the adrenaline and the emotional (and financial) payoff of sales. But as any seasoned sales person knows, the going is not going to be good all the time, and powering through those low points is what separates good sales professionals from the truly great.

While it can be difficult to keep yourself motivated at times, that difficulty is compounded for sales managers tasked with keeping an entire team upbeat and excited to keep their nose to the grindstone. It's a complex problem, and one that can only truly be mastered with experience.
