At salesforce.com, trust is our number one value and we take the protection of our customers’ information very seriously. We recently discovered that some individuals abused their Dreamforce registration access by collecting contact information (name, email, phone) that users shared with the Dreamforce community. This is a violation of our terms of service. As a result, we removed contact information and “about me” details from each user’s Dreamforce community profile so that other users will no longer be able to view this information. We encourage our community to be vigilant and follow best practices in terms of protecting themselves against phishing attempts, especially suspicious emails that appear to be associated with Dreamforce or Salesforce. We provide best practices on http://trust.salesforce.com/trust/threats and we encourage you to report any suspicious emails at http://trust.salesforce.com/trust/report/.
