The Salesforce AppExchange has a brand new design that gives you easy access to all the apps you need for your business. Here’s the insider tour of all the new features:
When you go to the site, you’ll notice the new, bigger app tiles. When you hover over these they turn over and you can get more information about the app without clicking in. You can also favorite the app and see how many Facebook fans the app has — right from the tile. This makes it easy and quick to learn about the apps you need.
There are now more than 1600 business apps on the AppExchange and we’ve made it even easier for you to find the ones you need.
The awesome search functionality from the original AppExchange will remain unchanged but we’ve also “curated” the site—which means we’ve carefully organized the apps into collections, categories and industries.
Collections are groupings of apps organized by a business need or preference. Here you can see the “Small Business” collection and the “Customer Picks” collection.
We’ve also organized the apps by category like "Sales" or "Customer Service.” Categories make it simple to connect to the apps you need by business area.
The apps are also organized by industry; this is great for when you want to see the apps that users in your field are utilizing. We have many industry categories including media, manufacturing, education and more.
Mobile is the future of business. The AppExchange is responsively designed. This means the site automatically sizes (and looks awesome) on your tablet or your smartphone. This makes it easy for you to find apps at work, home or on-the-go.
Did you know that Aloha means hello and goodbye? We’ll, we’re saying goodbye to Aloha and that’s an exciting change because it means that all “managed packages” that are posted on the AppExchange don’t count against your system limits.
