As a leader on our UKI team, I’m extremely proud that Salesforce has been named one of the Best Workplaces in the UK for the second year in a row! This award is especially meaningful because it’s an incredible recognition for the effort we put into providing a work environment where all of our people can be themselves and thrive every day. We focus our energy on creating a Great Place to Work because we know that our employees are at the core of our success as a company.

And at the core of what makes our company a “best workplace” is our culture, which centres around the concept of “Ohana”. Ohana means “family” in Hawaiian and represents the idea that we are all responsible for each other. It’s a deep-seated support system that we nurture inside our company that extends to our customers, partners and communities. As members of the #SalesforceOhana, it is each of our employees’ personal responsibility to live our values – Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, Giving Back, Equality, Wellness, Transparency and Fun – and to bring our culture to life in all that we do.

This second Great Place to Work award shows we have been doing many things right when it comes to creating a workplace that attracts and retains great people. We’ve learned a lot along the way, but know there is no finish line when it comes to culture, so we are excited to keep evolving, as the way we work and live evolves.

What’s it like to work at Salesforce? Here’s what members of our UK team have to say:

Having been at Salesforce for just over 6 years and now working in the Customer Briefing Centre, I’m still amazed at the powerful team ethic here. Those strengths are the ingredients of our secret sauce – mixed together they create an awesome, unstoppable team! To ensure that every customer visit to Salesforce Tower is an inspirational and memorable experience, we have great internal partners who work with us to achieve operational excellence on a daily basis. Workplace Services and Technology are part of our virtual team and we all pull together everyday to make sure each CBC meeting is a success for our external and internal customers.

Ann-Marie Cole, Senior Manager, Executive Briefing Centre

I am proud to have been part of a team of 15 Salesforce people to sleep rough on the streets of London, for one night every October for the last 4 years, to raise awareness of homelessness in the UK. With matching from our wonderful foundation, we have raised nearly $100,000 (£65,000) for Action for Children as part of Byte Night. Byte Night is a wonderful charity that works to support some of the 80,000 vulnerable children who are homeless in the UK every year through no fault of their own.”

Julia Woodman, Executive Assistant

I work with a rich ecosystem of subject matter experts, disruptors and CxOs from bootstrapped startups to FTSE 500 companies. From one day to the next, I’m talking to independent software vendors focused on building scalable and secure apps for verticals or apps that can span across industries and company size. With a large addressable market and a focus on discovering best-in-class apps for mobile, wearable and future tech in the UK, innovation is a fundamental part of my role. Basically, I help shape the future landscape of apps on the App Cloud – what’s not to love!

Gogo Roberts, Senior Partner Account Manager

We’re intentional about our culture because we know it’s what makes Salesforce such a unique and wonderful place to work. It’s the beating heart of our organisation, and I believe it’s the secret to our success. Simply put: we all understand that commitment and care defines how we do business, and we appreciate that we are all working together to achieve something greater than ourselves. How can you not feel inspired and engaged in an environment like that?

And, our future looks bright: the ecosystem built around Salesforce is forecasted to drive more than £5.6 billion of impact to the GDP and 50,000 new jobs by 2018, and with that kind of growth, comes opportunity!

If this sounds like a place you’d like to work, you’re in luck because we’re hiring. Learn more about joining the #SalesforceOhana at salesforce.com/ukcareers
