Strategies for enterprise productivity improvement and business agility
Time: 9:00-9:45am
Location: Partner Theater - Cloud Expo
Speaker: Agnes Sheehan, Director Connectivity and Network Sales, Global Enterprise Services, Telstra

Session information:  Agnes Sheehan, Director Connectivity and Network Sales from Telstra will present on "Using Mobility Strategies to Drive Business Outcomes”. We’ve all heard of BYOD; the employee response to the consumerisation of IT, with the rapid adoption of smartphones and tablets and also the mass adoption of mobile applications outside of work. There is no doubt it has been a catalyst for change.

But there is an opportunity to have a conversation that is much deeper than the user's choice of device - it's about using mobility strategies to deliver business real business outcomes - improved productivity, more engaged employees, increased business agility. This requires a capability to have a much deeper discussion than just devices and plans – it’s also about mobility applications and the policies, technology roadmaps and platforms, security and support levels.

It's well established that mobility is one of the top 3 priorities for the majority of CXOs, and for good reason. By 2015 40% of workers will be mobile spending 2 or more days away from the office, and the challenge faced by many organisations is to enable that seamless working environment whilst still ensuring there is a framework to address data security, privacy and compliance and employee versus corporate liability.

Navigating the Challenges and Opportunities of Enterprise Mobility
Time: 1:00-2:00pm
Location: Garden Room 1
Speaker: Justin Roche, Director, MSC Mobility Solutions

Session information: Justin Roche from MSC Mobility will present on “Navigating the Challenges and Opportunities of Enterprise Mobility”. Telstra and MSC work in partnership to offer expert advice in the design and implementation of mobile solutions and managed services for Telstra customers.

Justin’s session will discuss how Mobility is transforming the way that enterprises enable their employees and how they service their clients. Capturing data in the field, enabling access to information and providing a rich and engaging work experience can mean competitive differentiation, productivity gains and cost reductions. Challenges however exist with BYOD, security, standardisation and cost control. An appropriate model capable of linking to the broader business strategy and managing these challenges is required. This session focus’ on the strategic mobility context and key aspects you should be considering.

Make sure you do attend one of the sessions and pop by the Telstra stand to see Salesforce1 in action on a Connected Tablet.
