I am really excited about CeBIT this year. It's the first time Salesforce is going to be a big part of CeBIT.  I remember going to tradeshows back in my teenage years and was in awe of being surrounded by computers, robots and gadgets of all sorts. It was an amazing experience.

Salesforce.com at CeBIT is going to be the largest cloud computing event in Australia. If you attended Cloudforce last year, this year's event is very, very different.

So you may be wondering:

  • How are you going to get the most out of the information packed 3 days?
  • Where the venues are?
  • Where should I park?
  • What do I bring?

This post will hopefully answer all of these questions. But if you have additional questions you would like answers on, please leave a comment below. Here are the top things to help you prepare for CeBIT.

Bring along your e-Ticket

EticketIf you haven't registered and would like to attend, please register for free.

For those who have already registered you will receive an email from CeBIT Australia with your e-Ticket attached this week.

Print the page with the bar code. No one likes long lines behind the check-in desks (I know I don't). You'll be rewarded by doing so by getting your lanyard + name badge and conference guides very quickly.

If you are attending the Day 1 CeBIT Australia Opening Plenary and Salesforce.com Keynote, registration opens at 7am with Check-in located in the Bistro 80 area of The Star, entry via the Astral Hotel Lobby corner of Pyrmont St & Jones Bay Rd. You will be able to check-in at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10:00am as well.

Tip: If you haven't received a e-Ticket by this weekend, check your spam folder.

Bring a Buddy

Bring-a-BuddyI've been to conferences by myself and it is nowhere near as much fun as going along with a friend or work colleague. So if you are heading to CeBIT by yourself, it's not too late to invite a friend and have them Register for free.

Click to Tweet your friend the link to register for free.

If you don't have any friends or work colleagues to bring along, not to worry. Bring a stack of business cards and network like crazy, you are bound to make a friend at the Cloud Bar.
