After the past few months of lockdowns, restricted hours and staff furloughs, London’s commercial sector has been heavily impacted and changed dramatically. Now, Londoners are looking to the future and finding creative solutions to stimulate recovery.
Launched last month, the #BecauseImALondoner campaign is a new citywide initiative designed to restore consumer confidence and urge sustainable, responsible recovery in consumer spending. To support London businesses with this goal, Salesforce has joined forces with London & Partners to develop a platform through which local businesses can coordinate and receive support.
London & Partners are the international trade, investment and promotion agency for London. They are also the brains behind The London Alliance, a community of businesses from across the city who are united in their effort to reinvigorate London’s economy by building consumer confidence, sustainability and responsible spending.
The Alliance runs on a platform powered by Salesforce that is open to any London business that wishes to enrol in the #BecauseImALondoner campaign and leverage the campaign’s assets.
Centred around boosting economic activity in London, this campaign is encouraging further support from across London’s business ecosystem and seeks to inspire large brands, small businesses and Londoners to join in and be part of building a responsible part of promoting consumer confidence. The campaign also aims to protect London’s unique culture and lifestyle from any further economic impact. London has always been a magnet for creative and entrepreneurial minds and the recent restrictions have highlighted just how tenacious the spirit of the city really is.
To give Londoners the confidence to go back out and participate in the local economy again, the campaign messaging focuses on:
To help centre this messaging, the London Alliance online portal hosts a range of #BecauseImALondoner free-to-use downloadable assets, including:
These resources and guides are updated regularly, and are driven by industry insights, in coordination with national and local government.
The campaign’s online platform where all the ongoing campaign activations are hosted and shared was created using Salesforce’s Community Cloud solution. This software enables businesses of all shapes and sizes to easily build and launch branded portals, knowledge hubs, forums and individual sites to engage with their customers with just a few clicks. Powered by CRM, these online communities can easily be connected with your customer data to build personalised experiences and extend a bridge between your business and the community that surrounds it.
Laura Citron, CEO of London & Partners, said: “Having Salesforce’s platform has been a gamechanger for the campaign, providing a reliable way to get our marketing assets out to thousands of SMEs free of charge, while providing us with the analytics to determine which resources are proving most helpful.”
If you are one of the many small businesses looking for a road to recovery or just general support in getting your organisation back on track, join the alliance and get involved.
