On behalf of Salesforce Ireland, I have the pleasure of announcing that the Great Place to Work Institute has named us the #3 Best Workplace in Ireland 2018!

This is our third year on this prestigious list, and we are honored and humbled to be recognised among so many great companies that care about culture and creating a Great Place to Work. We see this recognition as incredible third-party validation of our commitment to maintaining a strong Irish Ohana. Ohana, which is Hawaiian for “family,” truly does represent the culture that our team has built in Ireland — it's the secret to our success. And, together, we've had many successes.

Ireland was Salesforce's first hub outside of the US, and we currently employ over 1,000 people here. We serve all of EMEA, which allows us to attract a diverse talent pool from over 35 different countries, resulting in a vibrant multi-cultural environment in the office. Salesforce believes diversity and inclusion at all levels are critical to our business. We are committed to building a diverse workforce that mirrors the communities where we work and live.

We hire employees who live and breathe our four core values: trust, growth, innovation, and equality. That means we are looking for people who are innovative, inquisitive, driven to think differently and push the envelope when it comes to ideas; people who understand the value of our customers and are passionate about helping our customers succeed. Philanthropy is also ingrained in our culture, so we also look for people who demonstrate a passion for giving back to their communities when building our teams.

We believe we can do well as a business, while also doing good in the world. Our Ireland team has recorded over 35,500 volunteer hours in the last year alone. Salesforce also actively supports a number of projects that promote equal access to education in Ireland. Most recently, St Dominic's Girls Secondary School in Ballyfermot was selected to participate in our Circle the Schools Programme. We have made a substantial $100,000 investment, a grant which has helped to pay for improved science and technology facilities in the school, including Wi-Fi, and also to fund STEM focused educational projects which were previously not available for their students. And this is just the start of the partnership.

The credit for earning this Great Place to Work award goes to each of our incredible employees for the positive impact they make every day on the lives of our customers, partners, and members of our communities, as well as each other.
