Today, I am humbled to announce that Salesforce has been named one of the Best Workplaces in Belgium through the annual Great Place to Work list. This is our first year participating in the awards, so it is a huge achievement - and even more so to be ranked as #2 in the small businesses category!
In additional good news, we were also shortlisted for the Special Recognition Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and the Special Recognition Award for Corporate Sustainability.
The Great Place to Work Belgium ranking assesses Salesforce employees’ perspectives on Trust, Human Potential, Leadership, Innovation, and Values. Knowing our ranking is based on feedback from our very own employees, makes me even prouder! This ranking clearly validates our continued commitment to establishing a great place to work for all.
The key ingredients to becoming a Great Place to Work is ensuring we’re supporting our people, treating them fairly, providing a workplace where they can truly be themselves and have ample talent development opportunities. Being recognised as one of the best workplaces in Belgium is great feedback and confirms we’re supporting our people in the right way.
Alongside our evolution of growth, the pandemic brought with it unprecedented pressure on the world, on companies and on individuals. However, thanks to our fantastic employees who live our core values of Trust, Innovation, Customer Success, Equality, and Sustainability every day, we were able to navigate through the crisis, find a new working balance, and maintain an engaging work experience for all.
In this spirit, and knowing that our ways of working are forever changed, we have introduced Flex Team Agreements to provide clarity on what’s most important in how and where we work and meet, stay connected, and nurture our culture and environment. We opened a brand new office at the heart of Brussels while reinforcing our digital HQ as well empowering our teams to collaborate from anywhere. Together, we’re designing an even better workplace where everyone — regardless of location — can feel supported and connected in our “Success From Anywhere” world.
At Salesforce, we encourage people to champion causes they care about and we’re committed to giving back. This can be done through all sorts of ways, e.g.: volunteer days off, employee resource groups, collaborative environmental initiatives with our partners, and lots more. Our colleagues and our communities gain a lot from these activities varying from planting trees, culture guide walks, pink ribbon activities, assisting at local sports clubs, etc. Giving back is part of our DNA!
Personally I am absolutely thrilled that we achieved #2 for the small businesses category. I want to thank each and every one of my colleagues from our Belgium team because we wouldn’t have achieved this without you.
We continue to move forward and our Belgium team is continuously evolving. If you can see yourself being part of our team, check out what opportunities we have here at Salesforce.
