Before the Salesforce Advantage Tour hit our region, we told you about a very special aspect of these events that we hoped to get your help with. For a number of years we’ve been supporting  Foodbank in their work and this year it was to prepare Christmas Hampers for those less fortunate. As part of the Tour in Sydney , attendees were asked to help pack some of the Hampers (sponsored by Pardot).  

The Hampers are a blend of essential staples together with some festive treats to bring some cheer at Christmas time - for all the family:

Sydney Advantage Tour kicked off with more than 2,500 attendees on the day and here visitors, partners and staff together helped pack the Christmas Hampers. The boxes filled up faster than we could count and in almost no time (by afternoon in fact!)  we hit the magic 500 hamper target that we had set ourselves earlier that  day!

To get a sense of what it was like to be a part of the Xmas Hamper packing with Pardot, we’ve compiled this video which captures the action on the day:

Last week in Singapore the enthusiasm was just the same. The @FoodbankSg team were swamped with food donations to help their cause. Attendees were asked to bring an item of food on the day and all donations went to Foodbank

So much more to do...

As awesome as this effort is, it is sadly only a drop in the ocean. Half a million people seek food relief every month. For instance Foodbank works with 1,000+ schools nationally to provide more than 67,000 students with breakfast - that’s 137,290 school breakfasts every week! So if you are keen to help out, Foodbank are chasing an overall target of 20,000 hampers this Christmas so please help if you can. The sense of fulfilment will be huge but will sustain until December when you sit down for your Christmas Lunch knowing you’ve helped provide for someone else who needs it so very much.
