You probably wouldn’t hire someone into your business you knew was under-qualified, you want them up and running as quickly as possible. But how often have you been in a situation where your teams’ ability to be productive has slipped due to changing technologies or processes?

It’s one of the hardest balances to achieve in the workplace. You need to constantly skill up to maintain high performance, but you know that taking too much time out will cause a temporary dip.

In my experience, these are the key indicators that it’s time to get your team back into training:

1. Your Business is Growing – New starters are great at bringing in new ideas and skills and they will do this most successfully when they understand your existing frameworks and processes.

2. Your Productivity has Dipped - In-house expertise help’s you define best practice and get the most out of your solution. If your expertise is out of date, or has moved on you might be missing out on fixes and tips to help turn that dip around.

3. Your User Adoption is Low – High turnover from attrition or growth means new starters in your team. Make sure they have the skills to do their job – if they don’t how will they utilise your solution?

We understand the need to get the timing and cadence for training right more than anyone. Salesforce is a perfect example of a constantly evolving system that yields far bigger returns when you train people to get the most out of it.

Still, working in training and enablement, we hear so often from our internal and external customers that they want to get into training or they want to get certified but they just don’t have time! Do some of these statements sound familiar around your office too?

“I’m too busy”

“I can’t spend 5 days offsite.“

“I work full time and your courses are 9-5.”

We have been working to find a solution that doesn’t compromise the quality of the content while providing flexibility in delivery. Now you have the option of attending Salesforce University courses outside regular working hours with Talentforce Academy.

Getting on training doesn’t need to be hard – get the skills, get the recognition, get the #dreamjob!
