To wrap up a successful three days at the CeBIT conference, the Sydney Salesforce User and Developer groups teamed up to present a special Meetup at the salesforce.com offices last Thursday.  This debut collaboration had administrators, developers, end users, marketers and consultants shaking hands over healthy salesforce.com discussion. After three big days at CeBIT, it was a great opportunity for members to wind down and enjoy a drink and some great food sponsored by salesforce.com, Talentforce, System Partners, and Cloud Sherpas.

We were lucky enough to have two special guests from salesforce.com HQ. Shawna Wolverton, Senior Director of Platform Product Management and Todd Enders, Senior Director of Product Marketing introduced the group to the current platform roadmap and changes due in the winter release.

Having been busy since Dreamforce 2012, we saw developments across page layouts, meta data, sandbox and within the apex code. We also saw the new ‘My Settings’ page and discussed the roadmap around mobility, security, App building, Extensibility and Integration.

Thanks to everyone who made it along for this unique opportunity to engage directly with Shawna and Todd.  We hope to bring you more special events such as this one in the future in addition to our regular User Group Meetup every third Thursday of the month and the bi-monthly Developer Meetup. Come along to the next User Group Meetup to hear from Andrew Hill from Salesforce.org.
