I work as part of the APAC Marketing Team at Salesforce.com and it's my job of manager of the Inbound Marketing Team to help drive as much traffic to our websites from paid and non-paid channels. This post will focussed on a Non-Paid channel, being Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
SEO is quite a complex topic, there are entire sites full on information on this subject. Yo have to be careful on what you read and who you follow as there is Good SEO techniques (what we refer to as 'White Hat') and then there is Bad SEO Practise that can lead to your site being kicked out of Google's Index (we refer to is as 'Black Hat' SEO).
Here are some reputable search engine news sources that I visit on the regular basis: SearchEngineLand.com and SearchEngineWatch.com. There are also tonnes of Blogs out there on SEO, but here are just 2 that I consider to be authorities on the subject: SEOmoz Blog and BruceClay.com's Blog .
