On July 8, 2020, the Salesforce customer community will come together for Salesforce Live: Asia, to learn about building business resilience amidst the new normal. One key segment is the Leading Through Change track, which features five episodes of inspiring speakers and content. Attendees will learn how to integrate the values of equality, diversity, innovation, and trust into both their business and private lives.

Here are the business leaders, sporting luminaries, and passionate humanitarians who will speak on July 8:

 

Dr. Lim Jui, CEO, SGInnovate

Dr. Lim Jui has pioneered innovation in ASEAN for more than 20 years. Dr. Lim co-founded the Medical Engineering Research and Commercialisation Initiative (MERCI), and was the inaugural Programme Director of the Singapore-Stanford Biodesign Programme (SSB). Today, Dr. Lim is CEO of SGInnovate, a private organisation wholly owned by the Singapore Government. He continues to drive innovation by connecting entrepreneurial scientists with investors, business advisors, and leading talent. 

Dr. Lim will discuss: 

  • How we are adjusting to new ways of living, working, and communicating
  • What Singapore will look like in 2040
  • How deep tech will change our reality

 

Angie Chew, Straits Times’ Singaporean of the Year 2019

After experiencing years of bullying and depression, Angie Chew left her corporate job to set up the Brahm Centre in 2012. Brahm Centre teaches mindfulness as a means for combatting stress and works with healthcare agencies, schools, and corporations. Today, Chew runs three centres that provide safe spaces for mental health education and emotional support. 

At Salesforce Live: Asia, Chew will join human connection specialist Simone Heng to discuss:

  • How to sharpen mental resilience to cope with change
  • How to incorporate mindfulness into our home and work environments
  • The role state-of-mind plays in happiness

 

Simone Heng, Global Keynote Speaker and Human Connection Specialist

Simone Heng is a former international broadcaster who is passionate about building human connections. She speaks about the art of digital connection, being authentic, effective communication, and more. The Human Connection Specialist has been invited to speak at the United Nations, TedX, and Google. 

Heng will join Singaporean of the Year Angie Chew to discuss:

  • How we can lift each other up in the next normal
  • How to build better connections with our friends and colleagues
  • How to unlock the bravery within us

 

Theresa Goh, Paralympic medallist

Paralympian Theresa Goh pioneered disability sports in Singapore. Due to congenital spina bifida, Goh does not have use of her legs. Yet, she set world records in Paralympic swimming for the 50-meter and 200-meter breaststroke events. Theresa also won a bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics.

Goh will join one of Pink Dot’s founding member, Alan Seah, to discuss:

  • How we can all embrace adversity as we move into new normal
  • How she would shape the Equality Agenda for the region
  • How other athletes can continue her work

 

Pamela Chng, Founder, Bettr Barista

Pamela Chng believes lives can be changed through coffee. Her social enterprise, Bettr Barista, trains disadvantaged women and at-risk youths in the art of coffee-making and coaches them on personal resilience. Through coffee education, Bettr Barista aims to build a more just, equal, and socially conscious society. 

Chng will join Avin Tan from Action for AIDS to discuss: 

  • How we can help businesses recover from COVID-19
  • What we can all do to create a more equal society
  • What her ideal Singapore looks like in 2030

 

Avin Tan, Advocacy and Partnerships Manager, Action for AIDS

Avin Tan is a fearless advocate for anti-HIV discrimination, who hopes to eliminate HIV in Singapore within 10 years. During a 2016 TED talk, Tan came out as HIV-positive, becoming the second person in Singapore to do so. He continues to inspire people living with HIV and has appeared on AM Live!, Channel News Asia, and Happy-TV.

Tan will join Pamela Chng from Bettr Barista to discuss:

  • The number-one myth about living with HIV
  • Advice for people who have been diagnosed with HIV
  • How Action for AIDS hopes to eliminate HIV in Singapore within 10 years
